2017 – Co-founder of “BraceShock”, an early-stage startup founded in Lima-Peru.
“Braceshock” is a bracelet designed as a self-defense accessory to protect women in daily situations of danger or harassment by an electrical discharge. Braceshock can also send the user’s GPS location or an emergency message. The accessory can be charged the same as a mobile phone and the battery lasts up to 2 days.
Braceshock was developed by a team of makers including a jewelry designer, Roxana Rivero, an electrical engineer, Cesar Munayco, and myself, Eldy Lazaro. I developed the 3D designs, and I used digital fabrication to present our project at the International Fab Lab Conference (FAB 13), which took place in Santiago, Chile in July 2017.
